The Emerson Fire Department is hosting the Third Annual Purple Hull Pea Festival Fish Fry from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Emerson Fire Department. Tickets are $10.00. Carry out or dine-in. The Emerson PurpleHull Pea Festival & World Championship Rotary Tiller Race will be held. Pea Festival “Pea-Shirt” is now available for purchase in Emerson at Emerson Food Mart, Diann’s Hair Affair, the Emerson Farmers Market (held Thursdays beginning at 3:00 p.m.), and the Emerson Community Center. In Magnolia they may be obtained at Farmers Bank & Trust, Peoples Bank and BancorpSouth. Prices for the Pea-Shirts are $15 for children’s sizes through adult XL, and $17 for adult 2X and 3X.
