The 2019 South Arkansas Babe Ruth Pre-State Softball Tournament in Magnolia is being held today at the Boys & Girls Club on Hollensworth Street.
A total of 12 teams, six in two divisions, will be competing on different fields during the double-elimination tournament.
In the 10-and-under Arm Division, games will be played on Field 4. Games will include LA Ark vs. Magnolia, 9 a.m.; McGehee vs. Hamburg, 10:15 a.m.; LA Ark vs. McGehee, 11:30 p.m.; Magnolia vs. Hamburg, 12:45 p.m.; McGehee vs. Magnolia, 2 p.m.; LA Ark vs. Hamburg, 3:15 p.m. The championship game will be played at 5 p.m. against the No. 1 and No. 2 seed.
In the 10-and-under Machine Pitch Division, games will include Lake Village vs. Camden, 10 a.m.; Stuttgart vs. DeWitt, 11:15 p.m.; Lake Village vs. DeWitt, 12:30 p.m.; Stuttgart vs. Camden, 1:45 p.m.; Stuttgart vs. Lake Village, 3 p.m.; and Camden vs. DeWitt, 4:15 p.m. Teams will flip for home at the plate in pool play and the No. 1-seed will have option in the championship game.
Time limit will be 65 minutes and South Arkansas Babe Ruth rules will apply in both leagues.
