Mae Girtha Tidwell was born on December 6, 1940, to the late Melvin and Marie Tidwell.
Mae Girtha passed away on June 10, 2019, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, AR.
Mae was the first of 7 children born to Melvin and Marie Tidwell.
Mae Girtha Christopher was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers including Roy C. John, and Samuel Tidwell, her husband Willie B. Christopher, and four children.
Survivors include: daughters Reverend Katrina Fleming, Brenda Faye McKinney, Malvette Christopher, sons: Antonio and Derrick Christopher, sisters: Barbara Hardamon and Alean Morehead, brother Melvin Tidwell Jr., 29 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Celebration of life will be held Friday, June 14, at 11 am at Crossroads Church of God in Christ in Chidester, AR, with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rosston, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home LLC of Magnolia, AR. Officiating will be Elder Lavern Hicks.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, from 12-4:30pm at the funeral home.
