Abbie Dee Hodge, 92, of Chidester, AR passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Community Compassion Center in Magnolia, AR.

She was born on September 17, 1926 in Chidester, AR to Joe Moore and Allie Lamkin Moore.

Abbie was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Camden, AR. She retired at the age of 83 from Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden after working for over 40 years as a nurse. She lived happily and independently until June 2018.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 older sisters, her loving husband Louie Hodge and one infant grandson.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Henderson and husband Jerry of Waldo, AR; two sons, Kenneth Hunter of Chidester, and Ralph Hodge and wife Kay of Camden. 8 Grandchildren, Tracy Sinor and husband Kelly Paul of Magnolia, AR; Michael Henderson of Waldo; Jeff Hunter and wife Kim of Magnolia, Matt Hunter and wife Allison of Magnolia; Renee Ross and husband Brian of Little Rock, AR; Jason Hodge of Camden, Kari Howland and husband Josh of Prescott and Brant Hodge of Garden City, Kansas; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff at Community Compassion Center in Magnolia, especially her nurses Kendra and Ernie. And to Penne with Life Touch Hospice of Magnolia.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden with Bro. Mike Launius and Bro. Conner Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 8:30 - 10 a.m. immediately before the service. Burial will follow at Riddick Cemetery in Troy, AR.
