James Donald West, 80, of Magnolia passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Wentworth Place in Magnolia.
He was born on February 2, 1939, in Alta Vista, Virginia, to the late James Otey West and Dennis Beatrice (Bondurant) West. He served his country in the United States Airforce from 1956 to 1960 and retired from Fallin Tractor where he was a mechanic for over 10 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Lois Jean (Moore) West; a son James Kenneth “Ken” West; and a sister Joyce Norris.
Don is survived by his daughter Donna and Michael High of Texarkana, Arkansas; step-son Anthony Marchan of Monticello, Arkansas; step daughter Subbrenia Pawlow of Magnolia, Arkansas; granddaughters Nina Elizabeth Johnson and Kara Michelle High both of Bentonville, Arkansas; brother Eldridge West of Nashville, NC; sister Wilma Cundiff of Alta Vista, Virginia; caregiver, Leslie Peterson of Magnolia, Arkansas; and his canine companion “Weezie”.
Graveside service held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Shiloh Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas with Dr. Eric Goble officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
