SAMUEL D. GOODMAN

Samuel David Goodman, know as “Sam”, passed away on January 15, 2019 at the age of 37. He was born on December 2, 1981 in Magnolia. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 2001 where his main focus of study was making people laugh and perfecting his ironing skills. His humor could brighten any room and he was happiest when others were laughing. He had a passion for music, drawing, and considered himself an amateur chef. He will be deeply missed by his family and abundance of friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Willie B. Goodman and James Bryant Johnson; grandmother, Alice Marie Goodman and Vivian Karen Goodman; uncle John Walter Goodman; and cousin Jeffrey Mason.

Sam is survived by his daughter Ayla Goodman of Magnolia; mother Debbie Johnson of Magnolia; father Billy Goodman of Denton, TX; sister Ashley Thornton and husband Chance of Magnolia; grandmother Carol Watt Johnson of Magnolia; aunt Sherri Arrington and her husband David of Waldo; uncle Chris Johnson of El Dorado; two half-sisters Jennifer Allen and Teah Goodman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on January 19, 2019 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. with John Clickner, Blake Clickner, and Brett Clickner officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Russell, Brandon Welsh, Danny Bob McMahen, John David Arrington, Robbie McCallie and Coby White. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Glidewell.
