The Magnolia Junior Charity League recently made a five-thousand dollar contribution to the Magnolia High School choir program. The funds will be used to help finance a trip the MHS Chamber Choir will be taking in April to perform in New York City.

The MHS Chamber Choir was selected to attend the WorldStrides Festival at Carnegie Hall 2019, based on their attainment of gold ratings at previous competitions in Dallas, Texas and Washington, D.C.

The event will be held April 5-8 and the students will perform under the direction of world-renowned conductor, Eph Ehly.

While in New York, the students will also visit the Statue of Liberty, the 9-11 Museum/Memorial, and see Broadway’s award-winning musical, WICKED!
