Odessa Gary, 101, of Stephens, AR died Monday, January 14, 2018 at Community Compassion Center of Magnolia, AR.
She was born October 23, 1917 to Floyd and Georgia Hicks Young.
She was preceded in death by both parents, two daughters, Claudine S. Todd and Georgia Ann Scott; a son-in-law, Alvin H. Todd; a grandson, Oree Levell Todd and a grandson-in-law, Randall Christopher.
She is survived by two sons, Oree Todd of Camden, AR and Edward (Angela) Gary of Dayton, OH; a daughter, Lettie M. Scott of Stephens; 7 grandsons; 13 granddaughters; 45 great-grandchildren; 48 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held on January 20, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at St. James AME Church in Stephens, AR with interment to follow at Seminary Cemetery in Stephens, AR with Rev. Roy Smith, Rev. Oree Todd, and Rev. Eddie Gray officiating.
Visitation is Friday, January 18, 2019 between the hours of 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Marks Funeral Home in Magnolia, AR.
