STAR CITY - The league-leading Magnolia Panthers (16-4, 9-1) defeated Star city 71-67 on the road Friday. Coby Garland led in scoring with 20 points. Braelyn Beasley scored 17, Darrien Ford and Kadyn Roach had 10 points apiece.
The Lady Panthers (11-10, 5-5) fell 55-21 to the Lady Bulldogs. Keshunti Brantley finished with seven points and Kayleigh Sneed had 5.
