ARKADELPHIA – On Sunday at the Henderson State Invitational, 13th-ranked SAU outlasted Northwest Missouri 11-9.
The Muleriders were led by Josh Walker’s home run and five RBI. He, along with Brett McGee and Dalton Wright were 2-for-4 at th3e plate.
Southern Arkansas suffered a 6-1 loss to Delta State on Saturday. The Muleriders recorded just four hits to the Statesmen, while DSU plated their six runs on eight hits.
But on Friday, SAU and Northwest Missouri combined for 29 runs on 30 hits and six total errors.
But it was the Bearcats that used a five-run eighth inning to reclaim the lead and eventually down the Muleriders 16-13.
