The city of Taylor is currently taking sealed bids for two former municipal vehicles no longer in use.

Bids will be accepted until 10 a.m. Feb. 15, according to the town’s legal filing, at which time submitted bids will be opened. The vehicles are: a blue 2000 Ford Ranger and a white Ford Crown Victoria.

The Ranger, nicknamed “old blue,” is a former city water department vehicle. The sedan is a former secondary police car.

According to the city, the truck’s mileage is unknown, but the former police cruiser’s odometer reads 153,400 miles logged.

Both cars are currently on display at the Taylor Water Office, next to city hall. The city reserves the right to reject any bid, according to the filing.
