The Magnolia Panthers have their man.
New MHS Head Football Coach Mark King was approved for hire by the local school board Monday night.
He replaces John Panter, who resigned the position earlier this year.
King, a 23-year coaching veteran, has spent the last the three years as the Foreman head coach.

He holds a bachelor of science in education, PE, from Henderson State University (1995) and masters in administration from Harding University (2007).
The coach said he will run the flex-bone, option offense and have an “attacking,” aggressive 4-3 base scheme that also plays many three-man fronts. He also prides himself on his passion for the sport and said he will rebuild the program from the bottom, up.
“They’re in for a culture shock,” King said Monday.
