THURSDAY - Jan. 16

A meeting will be held by William Ball, the owner of Stellar Sun and author of Arkansas first renewable power law, at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia City Council chambers on Pine Street (east side of Police Station). Ball is an authority on solar energy and will discuss how to get one’s electric bill to near zero and/or reduce electric bills. Deadline for 2020 high school seniors to sign up for the upcoming 16th Annual African-American History Celebration of Youth: Remembering Our Heritage event. It’s will be Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the SAU Reynolds Center. Event is open to high school seniors from any school district. For more information, contact Chris Gilliam at (870) 299-0999. MONDAY — Jan. 27

The Magnolia City Council will meet for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at the City Council Chambers (located on N. Pine Street) at 5 p.m.

WEDNESDAY - Jan. 29

Harvest Regional Food Bank will distribute TEFAP USDA Commodities directly from their truck on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 10 a.m. to noon in Waldo. The truck will be parked at the 102 E. Main St., Waldo, AR (Inside Fire Department). Recipients must bring photo identification verifying their age and residence in Columbia County. Distribution is limited to one per household. USDA TEFAP Commodities will be available for those who meet income requirements. Please note, the day of mobile pantry will be on a Wednesday.
