St. Phillip A.M.E. Church at 401 North Kelso St., Magnolia will celebrate its 152th church anniversary. Guest for the program will be Reverend Greg Nettles and church family from Bethel A..M.E. Church, in Camden, Arkansas. The anniversary program will be at 2:30 P.M. and everyone is invited.

The 16th Annual African-American History Celebration of Youth: Remembering Our Heritage is set for 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Reynolds Center on the SAU campus. High school seniors from area school districts will speak. Also, special young adult speaker, youth talent, refreshments and more. Admission is free.
