Josh Matheny & Friends will perform Friday night as part of Magnolia Arts' Music Night.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
Tickets, which include beer, are $40 for Magnolia Arts members and $50 for the general public.
Matheny was raised in Magnolia and is an MHS graduate. According to his bio, he was a member of the acclaimed Nashville based band KingBilly who had their own show on GAC and traveled the world on tour with many country artists from 2006 to 2011. He has also performed and/or recorded with artists such as Meghan Trainor, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, Lucy Hale, Earl Scruggs, Jo Dee Messina, Sara Evans, Lynryd Skynyrd, Richard Marx, Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Emmylou Harris, and Jerry Douglas.
He performs at the Grand Ole Opry on a regular basis and travels overseas with country and bluegrass artists. He is also an acclaimed dobro player and session musician.
