The Southern Arkansas Muleriders are playing a doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist today at Goodheart Field. First-pitch of the twin-bill between the Muleriders and Tigers is set for 2 p.m.

It is also “Bark at the Park/Community” Day inside Walker Stadium. All fans will get into the doubleheader with free admission as part of the Community Day portion of the event, but fans who wish to bring pets will be charged $10 admission per pet as part of the Bark at the Park promotion.

All money collected through the charged admission that day will be donated to Columbia County Animal Protection Society (CCAPS). Additionally, CCAPS will be on site with puppies and dogs available for adoption. Fans who choose to adopt on the day of the game, will be given a $50 gift card courtesy of Mulerider Athletics to help purchase supplies for the new pet.

Fans who do bring their pets must keep them on a leash at all times.

Additionally, fans who do not bring a pet may still donate to the cause either by bringing animal goods (food, leashes, collars, toys, etc.) or making a cash donation. A bucket will be passed around the stands for loose change at the beginning of the fifth inning of both games.

In the GAC, the Muleriders (18-8) are in third place and a half game behind Arkansas Tech (19-8). UAM (20-5) is in first place. The remaining GAC teams are three or more games behind SAU and Tech.
