Southern Arkansas junior second baseman Austin Baker had five singles in five separate innings as the Muleriders (23-13, 17-6 GAC) rolled over Ouachita Baptist 10-1 Wednesday afternoon in nonconference baseball action.

The Amarillo, Texas, native not only went 5-for-5 at the plate, but scored three runs and had an RBI as SAU pounded out 13 hits against the Tigers.

The Muleriders will be back to GAC action later this weekend when they play at Arkansas Tech (25-14, 17-7 GAC) in Russellville. Because of potential severe weather, the series has been moved to Sunday and Monday. The Muleriders are in second place in the league standings, a half-game ahead of the third-place Wonder Boys. Both are chasing leader UAM (24-9, 18-4 GAC).

After falling behind 1-0 in the second inning, SAU reeled off 10 unanswered runs against the Tigers over the next seven innings. They included two in the third, three in the fourth and five in the sixth.

Remy Bilodeau picked up his first collegiate win after pitching six innings. He allowed four hits, two walks and one run while striking out a pair of batters.

In other SAU sports, the Lady Muleriders home softball series against the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns this weekend will also be played Sunday and Monday because of the weather. The teams will play doubleheaders each day and the annual Community Day/Bark at the Park event has been cancelled.
