Southern Attitude, a 14AA baseball team from Southwest Arkansas, went undefeated to win the Arkansas USSSA Fall State Tournament in Conway on Oct. 6-7. The tournament hosted 17 teams in the 14AA division. After wins in Saturday’s pool play games, Southern Attitude was seeded fifth out of 17 teams. Wins included 10-2 against Arkansas Tusk (Beebe) and 9-7 against FieldHouse Hitman (Conway). During bracket play on Sunday, Southern Attitude won three consecutive games over Maximum Impact (Bryant), Little Rock Blues, and Arkansas Hustle (Benton). Southern Attitude faced Rawlings Prospects (Sherwood) in the championship game, claiming the gold ring and state title following a 5-1 win. In Arkansas among 14AA teams, Southern Attitude is currently the second ranked team with a power rating of 1236 (ranked second nationally). The team is coached by John-Michael Hunter, Toby Blanchard, and Steve Browning.
