Charitable Magnolians David Gray (above left) and Phyllis Austin (above right) both gave blood Tuesday afternoon while Texarkana-based Lifeshare Blood Centers’ mobile unit was on hand at the SAU campus. Gray even went the extra mile, giving an increased, 30-plus minute donation. Both givers are also university employees. The blood center is scheduled to return to Magnolia on Friday, noon-4 p.m., for another round of donations. The truck is also set to stop at Magnolia Fire Department July 24 and Immaculate Heart of Mary church July 29. Those who give blood will receive cookies, a drink, a t-shirt, and balloons for their contribution.
