Irene Griffin Cooper, 82, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Wentworth Place in Magnolia. She was born August 16, 1935, to Pennington John Sr. and Suannie Burns Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Martha, Lizzie B., Bernice, Ernestine, and Jeanette; and brothers Ernest, Johnnie B., and P.J. Jr.
She is survived by sisters Betty Buffington of Magnolia and Ann Bowers of Milwaukee, Wis., and brother Charles Griffin of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, February 17, at Marks Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia with Rev. Arthur Coulter officiating under the direction of Marks Funeral Home.
