Mt. Zion Baptist Church will hold its Black History Program at 6 p.m. There will be short skits, poetry, church humor, and inventors past and present. Special guest will be the Lights of Faith.
New Bethel Baptist Church will hold its “Family and Friends Day” at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Billy Burris. Guest church sill be St. Peter M.B.C. of Little Rock.
Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Youth Department will host the 13th annual African-American History Celebration of Youth: Remembering Our Heritage at 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Hall at SAU. The event is co-sponsored by SAU’s Office of Multicultural Services, Albemarle Foundation, Columbia County Community Foundation, and CSNS Fashion & Men’s Wear. Area high school seniors will be speaking, along with special young adult speaker Gabrielle Davis, an SAU junior political science major. The event is free and open to the public.
