Lelia Smith, 60, of Waldo passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.
She was born December 6, 1956, in Stephens to Lee Grady Smith and Ruth Weaver. She was a member of Seminary A.M.E. Church in Stephens and a past employee with Tyson Poultry Plant in Hope.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Calvin and Bobby Smith; grandson Le’Trea Smith; sisters Lorean Daniels, Rose Mary Smith, and Tamika Smith.
She is survived by her daughters Ruthie Smith and Erica Smith, both of Waldo; brother Earl Lee Smith and wife Martha Sue of Magnolia; sisters Nona Mae Merritt of Oakland, Calif., Eunice Mae Flowers, Gloria Smith, and Tracy Smith, all of Stephens, Dora Smith of Magnolia, and Travisten Robinson of Little Rock; grandchildren Tristan, Christian, and A’Miracle Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, with burial to follow in the Seminary Cemetery in Stephens, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC, of Magnolia. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Banks.
Visitation will be Friday at 11 a.m. with a wake 5-6 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
