Magnolia’s Lindsey shoots a 68

5A-South Conference Tournament set for next week

Magnolia female golfer Meghan Lindsey shot a low individual score of 68 to lead the Lady Panthers over the Hope Lady Bobcats Tuesday at the Magnolia Country Club.

The Lady Panthers had a team low score of 149 to Hope’s 206.

Katie Collier had an individual score of 81.

“Both girls played great, but Meghan’s score was the lowest shot ever by a Magnolia golfer,” said Coach Marvin Lindsey Jr. “She is an incredible player.”

For the boys, Connor Harrington was again the medalist after shooting an 82.

Following Harrington were Stephen Liberty, 90; Dalton Ray, 93; Kade Kuykendall, 104; Harrison McWilliams,110; and Nathan Baker, 112.

As a team, the Panthers shot 172 to Hope’s 224.

Magnolia will be back on its home course Thursday against Hamburg. Action will start at 3:30 p.m.

Next Wednesday, Magnolia will host the 5A-South District Tournament at the Magnolia Country Club.
