MONDAY - Sept. 3

There will be a nature hike and clean up at Logoly State Park from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Join park staff on a fun-filled, productive hike around Logoly’s pond. Participants will be encouraged to help pick up litter that they might find along the way. Admission is free and supplies will be provided. This event is made possible, in part, by the Keep Arkansas Beautiful commission. If you have any questions, call the park at 870-695-3561.

TUESDAY - Sept. 4

LifeShare Blood Center will hold a community blood drive from 11 a.m-4 p.m. at Southern Arkansas University, 100 East University, in Magnolia.

Walker Water Association will hold its quarterly meeting at 6 p.m. at the Walker Water Office, 20 Col. Rd 425, in Magnolia. All meetings are open to the public.

WEDNESDAY - Sept. 5

LifeShare Blood Center will hold a community blood drive from 11 a.m-4 p.m. at Southern Arkansas University, 100 East University, in Magnolia.

SATURDAY - Sept. 8

Truck and Car Show at Walmart #83 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Registration starts at 8 a.m. All proceeds from the event will go to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. For more information, contact Wal-Mart personnel department at 870-234-7800.

SATURDAY - Sept. 8

Operation Christmas child will host a speaker that received a shoebox as a child in the Ukraine. Nadia Karnatova will tell her story of what she received in the shoebox and what it meant to her and her family. Nadia will speak from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Crossett First Baptist Church MMC Building, El Dorado Campfire Building from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Norphlet First Baptist Church from 2:30 p.m to 4 p.m.

MONDAY - Sept. 10

The City of Waldo will hold a City Council meeting at 6 p.m. at Waldo City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.

WEDNESDAY - Sept. 12

Pine Valley Senior Center is hosting an in-service for visually impaired adults at 1:30 p.m. The program is presented by Barbara Kemp and Cindy Lester and gives professional help to adults 55 or over who are experiencing sight problems. The program is free to individuals with significant visual impairment.

THURSDAY - Sept. 13

The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. at SWAPDD, Inc., in Magnolia.

FRIDAY - Sept. 14

LifeShare Blood Center will hold a community blood drive from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at Walmart, 60 Highway 79 N, in Magnolia.

SATURDAY - Sept. 15

LifeShare Blood Center will hold a community blood drive from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., “Crusin Against Brusin,” Car Show, in Magnolia.
