Third overall in golf

Magnolia sophomore Meghan Lindsey was among 18 of the top female golfers competing last week in the Arkansas High School Overall Golf Championships. She finished third with an overall individual score of 79. Bailey Dunstan of Baptist Prep and Lilly Thomas of Bentonville each finished with an individual score of 76, but Dunstan earned the top honor following a sudden death round. The 18 athletes either won or finished as runners-up in the state tournament. Lindsey captured the Class 4A individual title last month. According to her coach, Marvin Lindsey Jr., she is the highest finishing golfer (boys and girls) in Magnolia history. The overall tournament was held at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock and hosted by the Arkansas State Golf Association. The Magnolia golf coach said Lindsey had an excellent overall tournament and an outstanding golf season.
