Susan West (pictured) was named this month as October’s Magnolia Regional Medical Center volunteer of the month.
She is originally from Magnolia, has one daughter, Ashley, and one grandson, West. West has been a volunteer for eight years. She decided to become an MRMC Auxiliary volunteer after she retired from her career as a school media specialist at Magnolia Junior High School. She said wanted to become civically involved and aid her community — volunteering for the Auxiliary has proven to be the perfect fit for her.
Her favorite part of the service includes meeting new friends and hospital employees. She says she has met many wonderful and committed people at MRMC. West also said she would recommend MRMC to family and friends because she has been a patient herself several times and received wonderful care. She is most proud of her family and friends and the joy they bring.
