Funeral services for Mr. Lonnie E. Dendy, age 74, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, La., with Bro. Gene Gibson officiating.
Interment will follow in Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Dendy was born on September 23, 1944, to Lonnie Braxton and Velma Lee Sanders Dendy and passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at his home in Minden.
He was truck driver for many years and later worked in the oil field. He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Paula Robichaux Dendy; two daughters, Lonya Brown and Pamela Hanson both of Minden; four grandchildren, Alyssa Simonton, Blake Simonton, Zackary Brown, Carley Wise; great-grandson, Camden Farr; sister Eulene Dendy Bolton of Cotton Valley; three sisters-in-law, Vicki Heflin, Debbie Dendy, Martha Dendy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dendy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sammy L. Dendy, and Johnny Dendy; and son-in-law Daryl N. Brown.
Pallbearers will be Blake Simonton, Zackary Brown, Timmy Joe Hanson, Heath Nevins, Cole Farrington, Carl Wise, Jimmy Hudnall and Corey Bonner.
