Betty (Grimmett) Garrett, 87, of Magnolia passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El DoradO.
She was born on June 9, 1931, in Lamartine to the late Jewel Byron, Sr. and Mattie (Perry) Grimmett.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ruben Garrett; and sister Margaret Hawkes.
She is survived by her sons Larry Garrett and wife Brenda of Magnolia and David Garrett of Magnolia; brother Dr. Byron Grimmett and wife Sandy of Waldo; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and one nephew.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Bob Inmon officating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia.
