Our best wishes go to Glenn Maxwell upon his retirement as chief of the Magnolia Police Department.

Maxwell’s service in law enforcement has been a career to be admired.

Prior to becoming Magnolia’s police chief, Maxwell was in the Highway Patrol Division of the Arkansas State Police for 23 years.

Maxwell’s service to the public extended beyond his years in the law enforcement profession, which began in 1984 as an officer with the Camden Police Department. He preceded his career in law enforcement by serving our country for five years with the U.S, Marine Corps.

In addition to his job as police chief, Maxwell has also been the pastor of Spirit Led Fellowship Church of Magnolia.

Maxwell recently informed Mayor Parnell Vann of his decision to bring his long-time law enforcement career to a conclusion and his last day was Monday. Happy retirement, chief, you’ve earned it.
