South Arkansas Women’s Network cordially invites you to attend a reception honoring the recipients of the Horizon, Lifetime and Career Achievement Awards 5 p.m at the LifeSmart Center, 1005 N. SATURDAY - May 26

Vietnam Veterans of America will host a Can Food Drive for the Columbia County Senior Meal Service at Wal Mart from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 808 will have maps of Vietnam and paper safes. Chapter 808 also helps veterans in the community with paperwork for benefits and transportation needs for appointments. SATURDAY - June 2

Logoly State Park annual Kid’s Fishing Derby. The derby will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end around noon. The derby is limited to 50 contestants. This derby is free but registration is a MUST. Registration begins May 1, 2018.

Logoly State park is located 6 miles north of Magnolia off Highway 79 on Columbia County Road 47, follow the park signs. Contact Logoly State park at 870-695-3561 to register or for more information.

MONDAY - June 4

Columbia County Library will kick-off the 2018 SCLP Summer Reading Program, “Libraries Rock,” at 2 p.m. with Magician Aaron Acosta. All ages are welcome to attend.

TUESDAY - June 5

Columbia County Library will hold its Summer Read Club for grades K-3 from 2p.m. - 3 p.m.

WEDNESDAY - June 6

Columbia County Library will hold Story Time for ages 3-5 at 10:30 a.m. There will be stories, songs, and a craft.

THURSDAY - June 7

Columbia County Library will hold Summer Reading Club for grades 4-6 from 2 p.m.-3 p.m.

Columbia County Library will show the movir “Peter Rabbit,” at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of hte library.
