Magnolia Junior Charity League on Friday and Saturday night presented “Live From Magnolia, It’s Follies Night” as a fundraiser for the local nonprofit. The "Saturday Night Live"-inspired show featured members of the community in a variety of musical and comedic acts. After an opening number, local talent performed famous skits such as Wayne’s World, Deed in a Box, The Spartan Cheerleaders, The Culps, Debbie Downer, Weekend Update, and motivational speaker Matt Foley. Musical acts by “Shania Twain,” “Justin Timberlake,” and “Lawrence Welk” took the stage, as well as original skits. A fashion show and dance acts also entertained the large crowd on hand at the Magnolia Junior High auditorium. Proceeds from the event will go toward helping child literacy and other charitable endeavors for children in Columbia County.
