It is with profound sadness that we at the Banner-News announce the closing of our long-time sister business, Office Outfitters.

The decision to close the commercial printing and home and office supply business was difficult. But the demand for quality printing such as Office Outfitters provided has changed dramatically in recent years with more businesses and individuals now capable of producing much of that type of printing in-house or at home.

Those in Columbia County and surrounding areas who used to patronize Office Outfitters for home and office supplies ranging from file folders to pens and pencils have been drawn to big box stores and online businesses.

Customers with large printing needs such as the Blossom Festival book will continue to be able to have those needs met at the Banner-News, where we have access to our company’s commercial printing facilities in other locations.

As with the closing of any business, it is particularly sad that jobs come to an end. Office Outfitters employed two talented and faithful people, and we will miss them greatly. Severance compensation will help them in the transition while they secure new employment. We enthusiastically recommend them to any prospective employers.

We thank you in Magnolia, Columbia County, and surrounding areas for the many decades of success your patronage made possible for Office Outfitters.
