THURSDAY - June 14

Native American Cultural Symposium will take place at the Museum of Native American History in Bentonville. This year’s theme is Reunification through Reinvention: The Creative Visions of Contemporary Native America. Juneteenth Festival Gospel Fest immediately following parade festivities at 7 p.m. B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Chair). Several local choirs and groups will perform.

Columbia County’s United Community Organization will sponsor its annual Juneteenth Festival at South Side Park in Magnolia. T-shirts are on sale now at Blackmon’s Barber and Beauty Salon. Prices for t-shirts—all sizes—are $10.00 through Thursday, May 31st. T-shirt prices will increase to $15.00 per shirt effective Friday, June 1st. This event is free and open to the public.

SATURDAY - June 16

The Miss Arkansas Executive Director’s Association will hold the annual Judges Seminar on June 16 in Little Rock at the Robinson Auditorium in the Hamilton/Porter rooms. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the seminar will begin at 10:30 a.m. The cost of the seminar will be $15 per person and take approximately one hour to complete. You must attend the seminar every year to remain on the Arkansas Judges List. Each year, you will be notified by email about seminar dates and locations. You must be 24 years of age, currently not competing in the Miss America system or have a family member who competes. Additional restrictions may apply and are available.

The Magnolia FFA Alumni/Booster Club will meet at 6 p.m. in the Panther Cafe at Magnolia High School. All members are encouraged to attend. All parents of Ag Students at MHS & MJHS are encouraged to attend. If you are interested in supporting the Magnolia FFA, we encourage you to attend. SATURDAY - June 23

The De Soto Area Council will be celebrating 50 years of Camp De Soto from 10 a.m. until the last ember burns out. The 50 year anniversary celebration is to celebrate all of those experiences and memories made. Everyone who has attended camp, had kids who attended camp, or have just visited Camp De Soto are invited to attend. Brent Williamson, event chair, encourages everyone to either stop by the De Soto Area Council office located at 118 W. Peach St in El Dorado or go to www.campdesoto.org to register. The fee is $25 for the day and it includes lunch, dinner and a commemorative patch.
