Breast cancer awareness tiller on display

“Fightin’ Filly,” a 1950s-era Murray tiller restored by Ricky Pepper of Cripple Creek Ranch near Emerson, was built to encourage Breast Cancer Awareness. The tiller, painted predominately in the breast cancer theme color of pink, is currently on display in the lobby of Peoples Bank in Magnolia. Breast cancer survivors are encouraged to sign the nearby “survivor board” as encouragement for those going through treatment now. Fightin’ Filly will compete in the stock division of the World Championship Rotary Tiller Race, the feature event of the Emerson PurpleHull Pea Festival, on June 30.
