Magnolia Mayor Parnell Vann presented Margie Russ (top photo) and Thelma Arbor with proclamations from the city of Magnolia for their outstanding achievements in education and public service. Arbor is a retired educator and Russ is a former member of the city council who drove a Magnolia school bus for nearly four decades. The two women were recognized Sunday during the Fifty Brothers Deep Martin Luther King Jr. Gospel Fest at the Columbia District Auditorium.
