Freshman infielder Sarah Pitre was named the Great American Conference's Freshman of the Week.

The honor is the first collegiate accolade for Pitre in her career and comes following a powerful weekend at the plate.

Through the first six games of her career, Pitre is hitting .429 (6-for-14) with two doubles and two home runs and has produced six RBI and five runs scored.

She owns a slugging percentage of 1.000 and a team-leading on-base percentage of .556.
