The city of Waldo will hold a council meeting at 6 p.m. at the Waldo City Hall. All meetings are open to the public.

The Southwest Arkansas Bluegrass Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Bethel Church, 131 Bethel Road, in Magnolia. Pickers, singers, and listeners of acoustic music are welcome to come and participate.

The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Board of Directors will meet at 10:30 a.m., at 101 Harvey Couch Blvd., in Magnolia. The executive committee will meet at 9 a.m.

SATURDAY - Dec. 15
The American Legion will host a Holiday Pancake Breakfast and Membership Drive from 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. Breakfast is Free to all military veterans and their families, legion members past and resent, Sons of the American Legion, and American Legion Auxiliary Members. Breakfast includes pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Donations accepted for box lunches and baked goods from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Fifty Brothers Deep and Mo Cutz Barber Shop are holding a community toy drive for less fortunate children ages 1 to 13 in Columbia and surrounding counties. The deadline for donations is December 22, 2018, and can be dropped off at MoCutz Barber Shop, 218 S. Jefferson, in Magnolia; or James Jefferson at Fifty Brothers Deep, 410 W. Main, in Magnolia.
