THURSDAY - Dec. 6

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Southern Arkansas University, SAU Mac Building, Magnolia, AR, there will be a LifeShare community blood drive.

SATURDAY - Dec. 8

Magnolia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s 16th Annual Christmas Dinner is at SAU Reynold’s Center at 6:00 PM. Charlotte Davis of Magnolia and Donna Cole Elliott of Camden are being recognized and honored for their service to the community. Shaneil “P.J.”Yarbrough, author, educator, and mentor is the keynote speaker. Proceeds to benefit the Sorority’s scholarship fund and other humanitarian efforts. The city of Waldo will hold a council meeting at 6 p.m. at the Waldo City Hall. All meetings are open to the public.

TUESDAY - Dec. 11

The Southwest Arkansas Bluegrass Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Bethel Church, 131 Bethel Road, in Magnolia. Pickers, singers, and listeners of acoustic music are welcome to come and participate.

WEDNESDAY - Dec. 12

The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Board of Directors will meet at 10:30 a.m., at 101 Harvey Couch Blvd., in Magnolia. The executive committee will meet at 9 a.m.
