Despite being picked to finish third in the GAC behind Harding and Ouachita Baptist, Southern Arkansas got some national attention Monday by receiving votes in the 2018 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches Preseason Poll that was released. The Bisons are ranked No. 7 in the Top 25 poll, while the Tigers are listed at No. 24. The Muleriders are continuing their workouts this week as they prepare for their Thursday night season opener at home against Arkansas Tech on Aug. 30.
