The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid from Jet Asphalt & Rock Co. of El Dorado to begin resurfacing approximately three miles of selected sections of U.S. Hwy 82 B and 371 in Magnolia. The accepted bid amount was $1,251,498.39, according to a Tuesday Arkansas Department of Transportation media release. Construction on the roadway is expected to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion of the project is expected in late 2018, according to the state.
