Elzia “Doc” Harden of Magnolia was called home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2018. He was born May 4, 1936, in Bradley. He is the son of the late Jack and the late Nellie (Hawthorn) Harden.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Dessie Mae Harden; sisters Betty B. Sargent and Ida Harden; brothers James Harden, Ozzie B. Harden, and J. D. Harden; and one grandson.
He is survived by daughters Peggy Wafer, Barbara Brewer, and Carolyn Brownlee, all of Magnolia, Wanda Henderson of Ashdown, and Roxanne Harden of Fayetteville; sons Dudley Harden of Columbus, Ga., and Marcus Harden of Magnolia; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers Ozell Harden of Bradley and Bobby Joe Harden of Magnolia; sister Lou Harden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel in Magnolia with Rev. Victor Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Kings Hill Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
Calling hours will be 12-4 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the funeral home.
