Funeral services for Dempsey Orell Clayton of Oakland, Calif., formerly of Emerson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Pine Hill CME Church in Emerson with Pastor Michael Story officiating. The eulogist will be Bishop Gary Young of New Establishment Word of Faith in Little Rock.
Mr. Clayton was born March 18, 1928, to the late Will and the late Leonia Bennett Clayton. He was predeceased by four sisters, Bertha Clayton, Beozia Clayton, Earties Glover, and Norvell Ferguson, and is survived by one brother, Alvin Lewis Clayton of Hot Springs.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Emerson under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service. Public visitation will be at the funeral home 12-4 p.m. Friday, April 20.
