Loberta Corine Walker-Scott was born May 18, 1927, to the late Mary Rutherford Wilson and Louis Walker. She united in marriage to the late Gus Scott of Camden. They were blessed with two children, Shirlye Scott-Hopkins and Jerry A. Scott. On Monday, April 16, she received her release from this earthly life to her heavenly reward.
Forever cherishing her memories are her children, Shirlye Scott-Hopkins and Jerry A. Scott (Vivian); grandchildren, Malik Scott (Kenitra), Jerry A. Scott Jr. (Sabrina), Khalisha Scott (Krystal Edward-Scott), Dewey Hopkins III, Javioun Scott, and Indyia Scott; 18 great-grandchildren; special friends Raymond and Mary Furlow and Lena Scoggins; and a host of relatives and friends
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Rising Star Baptist Church in Amy with burial in Eternal Rest Cemetery. Reverend Frank Dawn will officiate the service. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the funeral home.
