The SAU Lady Muleriders (44-4, 33-3 GAC) improved their win-streak to 14 as they took a doubleheader against UAM on Tuesday in Magnolia by scores of 2-0 and 7-0.

Victoria Taylor (21-0) recorded her third-most strikeouts this season with 11 in game one was also the 19th time this season she has allowed five or fewer hits to opponents in 23 games started.

Additionally, it was Taylor’s seventh recorded shutout this season.

For the 15th time this season, SAU as a team has struck out at the plate two or fewer times.

Brooke Goad was responsible for SAU’s run support in the game as she left the yard twice in solo form. As a team, the Lady Muleriders combined for 10 hits.

In the second game, Jolie Trahan recorded a new career-high 10 strikeouts as she went the distance for SAU and marked her sixth-straight win of the season after seven innings of work.

It was also the third time in seven starts this season that Trahan has shutout an opponent, and the fifth time this season she has allowed five or fewer hits.

SAU tallied nine hits as a team, four of those going for extra bases.

Jill Roye led SAU with three RBI and was 2-for-3 with a dinger and a run scored.

Marina Duran tallied a pair of RBI in her 2-for-4 effort at the dish with two runs scored

Rachel Miller and Goad each collected an RBI apiece
