JESSIE GULLEY

Jessie Eugene Gulley, 67, of Rosston died Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Heather Manor Nursing Home in Hope. He was born to Thomas Cornelius and Azzie Rean Gulley on October 13, 1949, in Nevada County.

Jessie was a retired logger. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Thomas, Wilson, and Charles Gulley; and one sister, Bernice Gulley.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Bernard Gulley of Arkadelphia; four sisters, Lorene Smallwood, Mae Rene Gulley of Gurdon, Verna Williams of Prescott, and Mae Lou Mixon of Oakland, Calif.; four brothers, Frank Gulley of Donaldson, Lee Davis Gulley of Malvern, Ray Gulley of Texarkana, and Clarence Gulley of Nashville; a daughter, Wilma Mitchell of Arkadelphia; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 23, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston with Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Barksdale Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, at First Street Funeral Home.
