Pressuring the quarterback

SAU's Davondrick Lison rushes Southwestern Oklahoma quarterback Casey Freeman. A week after being selected as the GAC’s Special Teams Player of the Week, Lison was tabbed as the league's Co-Defensive Player of the Week. The Arkansas City native registered three sacks for 28 yards. He also had a pass breakup and collected a quarterback hurry to go along with his four solo and two assisted tackles in the 38-14 win over the Bulldogs. His three sacks are the most in a game at SAU since 2009 when current NFL defensive lineman Cedric Thornton had three sacks against UAM. Lison's individual performance also underscored a team effort that saw 10 tackles for lost yardage with seven coming via the sack. The seven team sacks were the most in a game since 1997 when SAU reached that total against Northwestern Oklahoma.
