Panthers to play against another ranked team

The Magnolia Panthers (1-2), after suffering a 51-28 loss to Class 6A El Dorado last week, will open conference play on the road at No. 4 White Hall.

The Panthers beat Crossett 28-19 to open the season, but fell 28-27 to Monticello in Week 2.

The Bulldogs (3-0) have victories over Dumas (56-12), Crossett (50-14) and Sheridan (49-13).

The 5A-South opener for Magnolia and White Hall will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday.

The top 10 overall high school football teams in Arkansas and the top five in Classes 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A and 2A, as voted by a panel of Associated Press-member sports writers and broadcasters. Ranking is given with first-place votes received, records, total points and last week's rankings.
