Bettie Lou Winget, 84, of Texarkana died Wednesday, September 13, 2017, in a local assisted living facility. She was born February 16, 1933, in Emerson. She was a homemaker, a member of Unity Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Clell H. Winget.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and James Wheeler, Janie and Mike Wormington, and Jackie and Mike Kelly, all of Texarkana; one sister, Ovie McBride; two grandsons, Ret. LTC David and Megan Winget of Oregon, Mo., and 3rd Class Petty Officer Kristofer Hunter Hawk of San Diego; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Nathan Winget; and a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends whom she loved dearly.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 16, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, September 15, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
