Rebecca Ruth Hatfield, 70, of Cabot entered into glory November 14, 2017. She was born July 11, 1947, in Magnolia to Bruce and Jerry Archer Cheatham.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cabot and taught school in Columbia and Lafayette Counties for over 20 years. After retirement, she enjoyed scrapbooking and reading, but her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Becky’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched as a school teacher and Bible study leader.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hatfield was preceded in death by her daughter, Kari McDonald.
Mrs. Hatfield is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ray Hatfield; son Jarrod (Jennifer) Hatfield; son-in-law Robbie (Sabrina) McDonald; grandchildren Will (Kirsten), Seth, Benjamin, and Katherine McDonald; great-grandson Eli; and brother Wayne (Donna) Cheatham.

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, November 17, at First Baptist Church, Cabot. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with Reverend Greg Hooper officiating.
