ODIS REDFEARN

Odis Henry Redfearn, 90, of McNeil passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at his residence.

Odis was born on January 9, 1927, in Texarkana to Albert Henry and Thelmer (Jewell) Redfearn. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 20, 1945, to December 8, 1946, and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church of Stephens where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He worked for Berry Asphalt and Elk Roofing as a truck driver.

Odis was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Redfearn of McNeil; children Gene Tolar and wife Barbara of Hallsville, Texas, Bobby Tolar and wife Joanna of Hallsville, Texas, Johnny Redfearn of Indianapolis, Ind., Junior Redfearn and wife Marjorie of Stephens, and Al Redfearn and wife Jan of McNeil; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with LeRon Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City with Military Honors, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Robby Tolar, Stephen Tolar, Josh Hill, Rodney Herring, Jason Redfearn, and Eric Redfearn.
